OUR HISTORY

S & P Fish Shop is the front of a much larger business which comprises a fleet of fishing vessels and their crew.

 

It all began in the 1980's when brothers Scott and Paul were moved to Lee Bay from Reading at the tender age of 13 and 14 years old by their father who wanted his family to have a better life by the coast.

 

Scott and Paul began fishing soon after in a small wooden boat off of Lee Bay, and from there they progressed and purchased their first fishing boat.

 

In 1986 S & P Trawlers was established and the business began to grow, including the opening of S & P Fish Shop in Butchers Row, Barnstaple, which has since been sold and replaced by S & P Fish in Ilfracombe.

 

We have a real passion for fish & the fish industry, which is evident in the quality of our fish & enthusiasm of our staff.
